Literature Circles: Tales of a forth grade nothing

For homework this week I read chapters 7-8 of Tales of a fourth grade nothing.

The summary that I gave for chapter 7 is Peter, Sheela and Jimmy had to do a school project about the city and they chose their topic to be transport. Chapter 8 was about Peter’s Dad making a commercial about his company and Fudge (Peter’s little brother) got to be the one in his commercial.

The questions that I came up with is:

Why is Fudge so perfect to be in the commercial?

Why did they choose transport for their project?

The book I read in my Literature Circles was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.

I read Chapters 1 and 2.

The chapter was about Peter winning a turtle at his friends party and was about the Yarby’s (president of Juci-o and Peters dad works their) coming over.

In my groups discussion I talked about being the Illustrator I drew my picture of Peter and his turtle and the Yarby’s at dinner because Peter won a turtle and Yarby’s came to stay with them.

Through my groups discussion, I learnt that even 2 year olds like Fudge can be really annoying because he was really noisy and doing things he shouldn’t.

An interesting thought I took from the chapter was that in a kids party he actually had a turtle that could be won.
